The arrests bring to six the number of people held in the April 28 attack, including the main suspect.
The ministry official provided no de?²p Tuesday of the three additional arrests and could not be identified by name because he was not authorized to speak publicly of the investigation.
Morocco’s 2M television channel said the arrests were made in the coastal town of Safi, northwest of Marrakech — hometown of the main suspect, identified earlier as Adil Al Athmani.
Authorities have said that Athmani was a sympathizer of Al-Qaeda but made no direct link to the group.
