The police said the crime took place in a farm along the road that leads to Al-Arshawiyyah village of Al-Shannan region north of Hail.
Police spokesman Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi said the verbal dispute developed into a fight in which sticks and iron rods were used. "The Asian worker received a hit on the back of the neck, which ended his life," Al-Zinaidi said. He added that when the ambulance and the police arrived at the scene of the crime, the Asian worker was already dead.
The spokesman said the police was informed around 11 a.m. about a fight between two foreign laborers in one of the farms, and that one of them was lying flat. The informants would not say if the worker was dead or just unconscious.
The spokesman would not identify the killer beyond saying that he was a 38-year-old African and the victim a 29-year-old Asian. He said investigations were currently under way to send the killer to court.
