Police say the suspect in the April 28 attack that killed 17 people showed them the path he took from the city’s train station to the Argana cafe overlooking Djemaa el-Fna, the city’s historic square. The cafe was renowned as a gathering place for tourists.
Police also say the suspect, Adil Al Athmani, showed them where he discarded clothes he used to disguise himself as a tourist.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the attack. Authorities have said that Athmani was a sympathizer of Al-Qaeda but had no direct link to the group.
