Kingdom Holding Company, chaired by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, owns 47 percent of Kingdom Schools. Prince Abdul Elah was received by Overseer of Kingdom Schools Nasser Almelhem, parents and school staff.
The ceremony was attended by royals, dignitaries and parents. The occasion commenced with the national anthem, followed by a graduation march.
Almelhem delivered a speech, followed by a performance by students entitled “Return of the King.” The students also performed the Ardah, the national dance of Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom Schools Company opened in 2000 with the goal of providing an individualized educational experience catering to upper and middle class segments of Riyadh's population.
Kingdom Schools operates a private group of elementary, intermediate and high schools as well as a kindergarten for girls and boys in Riyadh.
In 2010, KHC announced that Kingdom Schools and GEMS Education, the largest K-12 private school provider in the world, has announced a partnership agreement where the latter would manage the school.
