A special ceremony was held alongside the association’s 25th general assembly, which elected a new board.
Abdullah Al-Ruwais, chief audit executive, received the award on behalf of Mobily. Al-Ruwais confirmed that Mobily takes the lead in supporting charities as they play important roles in Saudi society.
Al-Ruwais added: “The Disabled Children Association has a prominent role in supporting and taking care of this dear group of children. I would like to take this opportunity to thank this association, under the chairmanship of Prince Sultan bin Salman, for their efforts in assisting the disabled children, and I would like to repeat my thanks to the prince for giving Mobily the opportunity to support the association. We look forward to further cooperation in the future.”
Mobily has continued to support the association by adding it to a list of Noqaty program partners, allowing subscribers to donate their points to charities.
Mobily presented last Saturday a check for SR2.5 million to the association from the proceeds of a charity auction that sold 15 platinum mobile phone numbers.
Mobily also donated the proceeds to nine other charity associations in Saudi Arabia.
