"Kia On Tour 2011," organized by Saudi distributor Aljabr Automotive, started Friday in Dammam.
The event ends July 29 in Jeddah after the caravan travels to Al-Hasa, Jubail, Riyadh, Jazan, Abha,Taif, Makkah and Madinah.
Al Jabr Automotive’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing Abdulsalam Aljabr said the caravan will give people across the Kingdom the opportunity to experience the entire line of Kia passenger vehicles, from the luxurious Cadenza and Optima to its compact Picanto and Rio models as well as its sport-utility lineup of the Mohave, Sorrento and redesigned Sportage along with the youth-market targeted Soul crossover.
“We will bring the Kia model lineup to the doorsteps of those customers who live in remote areas as well to those families who don’t usually get the chance to take part in vehicle purchase decisions,” Aljabr said.
“This is vacation time, and people have enough time to see the latest Kia models for themselves. This caravan is aimed at both youngsters and families, and we have many family activities planned wherever the caravan makes a stop. Anybody who has a valid driving license can come and check out the vehicles. Our staff will extend all help to them.”
Kia Motors was founded in 1944 and is South Korea’s oldest manufacturer of motor vehicles.
As part of the Hyundai-KIA Automotive Group, Kia aims to become one of the world’s premier automotive brands.
