“No signs of violence or resistance were revealed in the autopsy report conducted on the woman’s body,” First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq, spokesman for Jeddah police, told Arab News.
“Jeddah police, the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Jeddah Health Bureau along with the Investigation and Prosecution Department are looking for more clues to uncover the reasons that could have led to her death.”
However, Al-Bouq said his department is currently interrogating a 30-year-old Somali living in the area who investigators believe might have information about the incident.
“The 30-year-old eyewitness who lives across from where the housing complex is located told investigators that he had seen the nurse jump from the roof of the building and he had taken video footage of the woman before and after she died,” said Al-Bouq.
He said investigators confirmed the images were of the dead woman and they showed the man actually had her attention when she jumped.
He also said the man was considered an eyewitness and not necessarily a suspect in the case.
