“While one of the victims was a man in his 70s, the other two were in their 30s,” Civil Defense spokesman of Makkah Province Maj. Abdullah Al-Amri told Arab News.
He said the fire started in the living room and then spread to the entire house. He added that initial investigations indicated that the blaze was caused by an electrical short circuit. The bodies are being kept in the King Abdul Aziz Hospital and Cancer Center.
