Saba News Agency reported on Sunday that Saleh visited on Saturday Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, the head of Shoura council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani, the Sanaa governor and other officials who are convalescing in a hospital in the Saudi capital following the bomb attack.
Saleh wished his aides speedy recovery and thanked the kingdom for hosting them in their hospitals.
In the Yemeni capital, Saleh’s supporters on Sunday marked the 33th anniversary of his accession to power by holding an indoor ceremony that included speeches and concerts praising the embattled leader.
Meanwhile, an official from the troubled province of Mareb told Arab News on Sunday that a group of Yemen engineers repaired the damaged oil pipeline which had been damaged by tribesmen in mid-March and the flow of oil resumed normally.
Ghaleb Moaili, the director of the provincial office of the Ministry of Oil, said that the damaged pipeline was repaired on Friday and the local tribes pledged to protect it from any future attacks.
“The damages were located in two districts: Al-Wadi and Sarwah and the engineers spent two days testing it. The pipeline transplants the oil from four blocks to the shipping port in Hodeida.”
The official said the resumption of oil supplies would put an end to the current severe shortage of fuel in the country.
The pipelines were shut in March when a local tribe detonated bombs at the pipelines in protest against the killing of one of their men.
