The Boeing 737 was seized in Munich last week in a long-running battle over payments between a German construction company and the Thai government.
The company says the plane belongs to the government. But Thailand says it is the property of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.
The Landshut state court said Wednesday it ruled based on an assurance from Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation and the plane’s certificate of registration. It says both point to the crown prince as owner.
But the court says it must demand a bond — based on the plane’s estimated value — because the decision is preliminary.
