Turkey’s prime minister ruled out a normalization of ties with Israel on Saturday unless the Jewish state “officially apologizes” for the raid. But Israel’s minister of strategic affairs said last week that Israel will not apologize.
The report by the UN panel was expected to be delivered to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon this month.
But UN spokesman Martin Nesirky said Monday the report was being delayed until later in August, and the secretary-general was encouraging both parties to resolve their difference.
