Customers in First Class and Business Class can look forward a new range of white Royal Doulton fine bone china, whose delicate relief pattern and subtle simplicity provides the ideal backdrop to showcase the diversity of Emirates’ extensive menu. The redefined dining experience also includes the introduction of elegant Robert Welsh cutlery, which adds to the contemporary and high-quality dining experience onboard. “We are constantly seeking new ways to not only delight, but also surpass the high expectations of our discerning customers. By taking a fine dining experience they may have had as a benchmark, we at Emirates continue to innovate and raise the bar,” said Terry Daly, divisional senior vice president, service delivery — Emirates. The new service extends beyond the launch of new products, and resonates through the onboard dining philosophy to also include the exclusive introduction to the First Class dining range, such as stylish charger plates that are present in many leading restaurants, new salad and soup bowls, coffee mugs and teacups, as well as the introduction of soup dishes to the Business Class menu. Passengers who travel on Emirates First Class and Business Class have the opportunity to enjoy the new service. They also would experience some of Dubai’s leading hotels such as The Armani Hotel, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, The Address Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel — where passengers, flying to and via Dubai, are offered complimentary hotel stays and 96-hour transfer visas. To take advantage of this great offer, passengers must complete their journey entirely in either Emirates First Class or Business class, between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 and book before July 31.OMAN AIROman Air is once again supporting the Salalah Tourism Festival, enabling many thousands of visitors to attend this wonderful event and to experience the unique attractions of the area. Confirming the significance of this route, Oman Air has added frequencies to the Muscat-Salalah-Muscat route. The airline now operates up to seven daily flights in this sector. Focusing on the importance of the Governorate of Dhofar and in line with the National Carrier’s dedicated efforts to promote tourism within the Sultanate, an additional 32 flights have been introduced in this sector. Realizing the need to put even more flights on this sector, Oman Air is actively implementing an additional flight frequency program. Oman Air is utilizing all aircraft sizes to service this sector currently, and this include the Airbus A330s, Boeing 737s, as well as its latest Embraer 175 regional jets. In July, Oman Air announced a special offer of OR51 for the Muscat Salalah sector. This offer will go on till the end of September end, and tickets will have to be a return ticket with one month validity, purchased from any of the Oman Air offices. This special offer signifies Oman Air’s gratitude to the people of Salalah and the general passengers and reflects Oman Air keenness to promote domestic tourism. Efforts are on to integrate the same within the Internet booking engine, which will also be made available to the passengers soon. A similar special fare of OMR 85 was introduced in the Salalah-Dubai sector as well (return ticket valid for one week purchased through any Oman Air office) for the citizens and residents of Oman. ETIHAD Etihad Crystal Cargo has announced a new dedicated freighter operation from Abu Dhabi to Almaty in Kazakhstan. Etihad Crystal Cargo is the fast growing cargo division of Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. The service is set to commence operations soon, using the airline’s Airbus A330-200F freighter with a payload of 59 metric tons on the route. Roy Kinnear, senior vice president of Etihad Crystal Cargo, said: “We are delighted to announce our first dedicated freighter service to Almaty. Our operations to Almaty will reinforce Etihad’s position in the Kazakh market, adding to our three weekly passenger services between Abu Dhabi and Almaty. We look forward to strengthening the trade ties between the UAE and Kazakhstan through this new cargo route.” Etihad Crystal Cargo operates to a total of 84 destinations internationally, 13 of which are freighter only. The airline operates dedicated cargo freighter aircraft to 27 of these 84 destinations. The Crystal Cargo fleet consists of one Boeing 777 Freighter, two Airbus A330-200F, two Airbus A300-600F aircraft and two McDonnell Douglas MD11s. Etihad Airways began operations in 2003 and in 2010 carried more than seven million passengers.
