Cabinet moves to speed up real estate share cases

"Judges in general courts or those outside official duty hours should be appointed to quickly settle the cases related to real estate shares," the Cabinet said after the weekly meeting.
The Cabinet authorized the president of the Supreme Judiciary Council to take necessary action in this respect in coordination with the minister of commerce and industry.
The real estate share committee would take necessary decisions regarding solid and movable assets of shareholders protecting their rights and pass the cases to executive judges to endorse them.
It asked the Interior Ministry, Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, Justice Ministry and Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry to support the real estate committee, by meeting its requirements within two weeks after applications have been received.
The Cabinet allocated SR20 million to meet the expenses of the committee, including remunerations for its members, salaries of staff members and charges of consultancy offices.
The Cabinet meeting agreed to pay SR10,000 each to victims of severe cold weather. It urged Saudi Telecom to pay additional expenses of GOSI and Pension Fund that were caused by its privatization. The Cabinet also agreed to join the international seed trade agreement effective from Sept. 1, 2010.
Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said the Cabinet, meanwhile, urged crisis-stricken Arab countries to avoid violence. "They should immediately stop the use of force against civilians to safeguard human dignity, protect human rights and establish justice," he quoted the Cabinet as saying.
The Cabinet denounced the Israeli move to build thousands of Jewish homes in the occupied East Jerusalem and urged the international community to pressure Israel to halt the project.
King Abdullah briefed the ministers on the outcome of his talks with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and his telephone conversation with US President Barack Obama.
Meanwhile, Faisal Trad, newly appointed Saudi ambassador to Belgium, Khaled Al-Anqari, ambassador to Tunisia and Saleh Al-Ghamdi, ambassador to Italy, took their oath in front of the king. During the ceremony, King Abdullah urged the ambassadors not to show any negligence in helping Saudi citizens abroad.
