"Growing population and application of modern technology have conflicting impact on the job market and this demands innovative employment methods," Fakeih said while addressing a meeting of labor ministers from G20 countries.
He said the Kingdom's ongoing Saudization drive is not aimed at lessening the importance of expatriate workers' role in the country's development process.
"In fact it goes in line with international labor regulations and standards," Fakeih said.
He emphasized the need for participating the ministers of education and training in such meetings organized for preparing for the G20 summit.
"Education and training are two essential factors to ensure sustainable employment for youths," he said. Finding solution for unemployment requires cooperation of all related departments as well as NGOs.
"Labor Ministry alone will not be able to solve this problem," he said. Fakeih disclosed the Kingdom's plan to introduce an unemployment insurance program within a few months.
