The 41-year-old woman is suspected of having served from 1999 to 2008 in the top post of the European wing of the illegal Turkish Marxist terrorist organization, DHKP-C, prosecutors said in a statement Tuesday.
The suspect — only identified as Guelaferit Ue — was arrested in Thessaloniki in June, they said.
Prosecutors say her responsibilities in the DHKP-C involved securing finances through fund drives, selling newspapers and soliciting sponsors. She was also responsible for smuggling members of the group into the European Union.
DHKP-C is listed as a terrorist organization by the United States and the EU.
