Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian Authority official
monitoring settler activity in the northern West Bank, said that occupiers from
the Jewish settlement of Yitzhar attacked the vehicles of Palestinians traveling
on Nablus-Kafr Qaddoum road. Daghlas said that the windows of dozens of cars
were smashed in the attack. No injuries to the Palestinians were reported.
Samer Odeh, the head of Hewara municipal council, said that
the Yitzhar occupiers barred Palestinian farmers from harvesting their olive
crops in groves adjacent to the settlement.
Odeh said the farmers had permits from the Israeli Civil
Administration, an Israeli military department responsible for coordinating
civil issues between Israeli government and the Palestinians.
Also in the West Bank, the Jewish occupiers vandalized 25
olive trees in the village of Beitillou.
The occupiers’ attacks comes hours before the international
Quartet for peace in the Middle East holds a meeting in Jerusalem in bid to
revive peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.
