A federal high court judge on Tuesday said that Baba Suwe should be released Friday.
National Drug Law Enforcement Agency investigators stopped Baba Suwe on Oct. 19 at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport before he could board a flight to Paris.
The agency said a scanner picked up a suspicious object inside his body.
Baba Suwe’s arrest shocked fans of Nollywood, Nigeria’s prolific low-budget film industry believed to have began in the early 1990s.
Nigeria is a major transit point for cocaine and heroin moving to Europe and the US.
