Participation in the event forms part of its efforts to promote Sharjah as a major investment and tourist destination in the region and the world.
Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurooq, will lead the authority’s delegation, which also includes Elie Armaly, business development director, and Hatem Haidar, sales and marketing executive.
The WTM, the annual premier global event for the travel and tourism industry, attracts specialized companies and agencies as well as decision makers from all over the world, and will be attended by 48,000 senior officials and professionals in the travel sector, ministers and media, who will be updated on the latest developments and trends in the travel and tourism industry.
Al Sarkal said: “Our participation is aimed at promoting new investment opportunities related to the tourism and travel sector in Sharjah, introducing the emirate as an attractive tourism and investment destination, as well as at strengthening economic cooperation with participating delegations from all over the world while promoting growth opportunities available in the emirate. We will, also, discuss investment opportunities with our counterparts in London.”
Shurooq will make the most of the event as a platform to promote its tourism projects.
