India's cash-strapped Kingfisher airlines may get govt help

The airline says it is not seeking a government bailout, and the aviation minister also says nothing of the sort is pending.
But part-owner Vijay Mallya this week questioned India's high landing tariffs and fuel taxes in a market already struggling from rising fuel costs, crushing price wars and an 11 percent drop in the value of the Indian rupee over the past year.
Indian media say Prime Minister Manmohan Singh suggested late Saturday he would look into the issue, without saying what actions might be considered.
