“Efforts are under way to release 700 more prisoners within the next few days,” Gareen said and thanked Jazan Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Nasser for his support to the prison department.
Prisoners who are entitled to be released have expressed their happiness and thanked King Abdullah for his humanitarian gesture.
Meanwhile, Prince Muhammad met with Muhammad Al-Attas, chairman of the municipal council and its members. The governor emphasized the important role of municipal councils in improving public services.
Prince Muhammad reminded the council members of their responsibility and urged them to work for the betterment of the city.
