The minister opened the exhibition on the sidelines of the Saudi Intellectual Conference. The dignitaries, who took part in the show included Princess Adila bint Abdullah, SRMG Chairman Prince Faisal bin Salman and Mona Ghazindar, director general of the Paris-based Institut du Monde Arabe.
Khoja lauded the efforts of those displaying the paintings, photographs and artifacts at the show, which opened in the presence of some 500 distinguished visitors.
The ministry had a massive stall, where books on Saudi Arabia were distributed free of charge. The books were mostly in Arabic, English and French written by Saudi authors.
At the entrance to the show, the minister and the dignitaries were welcomed by traditional Saudi singers. Prominent artists displayed a wide array of paintings and works at the show.
According to a Saudi prominent journalist, the works displayed at the show were of high standards and they truly depicted the cultural heritage of the Kingdom.
During the opening of the Intellectual Forum, Dr. Abdul Rahman Tayeb Al-Ansar, chairman of the organizing committee, delivered the welcome address.
In her brief speech, Khazindar thanked Khoja for the wonderful cooperation extended by his ministry to promote Saudi culture.
She said she was happy that the forum provided a good platform for the participants to exchange views and understand the depth of Saudi culture and heritage.
Khazindar is the first woman and first Saudi to be appointed Director General of the Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris.
