Abdul Shukoor Ali, a senior official of the KIG, commended Kareem’s contributions toward spreading the message of Islam among the Keralite community.
Kareem was one of the founding members of the KIG that provides Islamic enlightenment to the community through various programs.
During the farewell party, a number of his friends spoke describing his exemplary behavior and his efforts to bring people closer to Islam. "I am returning with satisfaction after making a large community of friends who are my real asset," Kareem said.
Kareem arrived in Dammam from Mumbai by ship in 1977 and began his career by working for a subcontracting company of Saudi Aramco. He also worked for Continental Restaurant and Al Alamiya Electronics in Jeddah before shifting to the textile business.
