The court will also distribute old townships to the deserving tribal people. The initiative is based on documents issued by the Committee for the Bedouin Settlement in line with the vision of the ministries of Agriculture, Justice, and Municipal and Rural Affairs with regard to new regulations on residential and agricultural land in Taif region.
The regulations have been issued in the wake of difficulties faced by the local residents to own residential plots, in addition to halting of the procedures of issuing arbitration documents on residential plots that are in dispute. According to the regulations, the local municipality and the branch of the Ministry of Agriculture would deal with the title deeds of residential or agricultural lands that continue to remain untapped for, considering that they are government lands.
Regarding old residential townships, the committee had issued necessary directives to distribute them among the beneficiaries belonging to various tribes earlier, but the distribution is yet to be done. The concerned municipality will undertake the task of distributing those townships that are not in dispute. In case of disputed lands, the concerned court would settle them.
