While inaugurating the campaign “Healthy Life, Happy Life”, Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, guest of honor at the event, stressed the relevance of maintaining a healthy life to a large gathering that attended the function at the ground off Sitteen Street. Zaki, while extolling the virtues of exercising daily, was happy at the large turnout. “It’s nice to find that the Indian expatriate community is health conscious,” he said, adding that the importance of regular exercises need not be emphasized.
Zaki, a former footballer who represented the Andhra Pradesh in Santosh Trophy matches in the early nineties, echoed the views of all doctors a bit of exercise — even brisk walking — goes a long way in preventing health issues like diabetes and cholesterol while augmenting other systems in our body.
Abdul Latheef, a physical instructor at Al Ahli Club, Jeddah, congratulated the Indian Fraternity Forum on launching the awareness campaign and elaborated on the impact of regular exercising to maintain good health, while Abdul Nazer, body building instructor and chief coach at Al Abeer Medical Group, reiterated the importance of balanced food habits to maintain health and remain youthful.
Ashraf Morayur, president of Indian Fraternity Forum, explained the schedule of the awareness program “Healthy Life, Happy Life” and said that he counted on the large support and acceptance that the forum had received from the entire expatriate community in the past to make the current awareness campaign a success.
Hifz ur Rahman (president, Saudi Indian Football Forum) too congratulated the Indian Fraternity Forum for their sincere efforts to bring awareness to the expatriates, especially Indians. He added, Indians are the most affected by health issues that are caused by lack of exercise and balanced diet.
Mohthisham Habeebullah, coordinator for northern states of Indian Fraternity Forum, conveyed the vote of thanks and E.M. Abdullah presided over the function. Abdul Ghani welcomed the guests and gathering.
