The wife of consul general of Pakistan in Jeddah was the chief guest.
At the outset, basic health screening was done for all participants — checking blood pressure, blood sugar and body weight. Those whose findings bordered on the risky side were advised to visit their doctors as well as what diet regimen they should adopt.
Dr. Sobia Raza, who also conducted the seminar, gave a lecture on osteoporosis and vitamin D deficiency-related problems and prevention.
Dr. Samreen Safdar talked about diabetes mellitus management and obesity-related heath issues. Dr. Farzana Iqbal highlighted the causes of various bleeding disorders of women and their management.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Welfare Society in promoting the welfare of the community.
The school’s headmistress, Mrs. Khan, proposed the vote of thanks, and specially praised PWS efforts in arranging such a useful seminar.
