The 25th eXtra store in Saudi Arabia, this outlet has been designed to meet the needs of the population of Jazan and the surrounding areas, currently estimated to be in excess of 200,000 and growing.
The value of the market in this region is estimated to be worth more than SR100 million.
The new store in Jazan has been modeled on the company’s successful branch network across the Kingdom. eXtra has entered relatively small cities in the Kingdom, like Tabuk, Najran, Hafr Albatin and now Jizan, with a specially-tailored store format in order to most effectively serve customers in such locations.
Mohammad Galal, CEO, United Electronics Company (eXtra), said: “We are pleased to announce the milestone opening of our 25th store in Saudi Arabia. This store is our first in Jizan, serving customers throughout the Kingdom’s southwest area, including the area of Jazan Economic City. The opening of this new store demonstrates our unmatched commitment to meeting the needs of our customers — wherever they are and whenever they need us.”
Galal added: “This continued growth follows the opening of seven stores last year, as well as the launch of our online shopping portal and most importantly the public listing of the company on the Saudi Stock Exchange.”
He said company plans to open three more stores by the end of the year, bringing its total country-wide network to 28 stores.
More than ten million shoppers visit eXtra’s stores annually, making it one of the fastest growing companies in the Kingdom, according to the recent ranking by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
