The announcement by RCJY Chairman Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan, reported by local media, followed the signing of four deals with RCJY’s partners.
He said some of these contracts had already been signed.
The RCJY signed the deals on Sunday with Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden), Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ) and the Saudi Ports Authority (SPA).
He said there are ambitious schemes to introduce a wide range of industries at RKIC.
Maaden CEO Khalid Al-Madifer said Maaden’s investments in RKIC are expected to touch SR60 billion.
Sunday’s deal would strengthen the commission’s development and management plans for the new industrial city. It would provide basic services to help maintain and operate the utilities there.
