The move aims to promote technological projects in Alkharj, a KACST statement said, adding that it has received the support of Alkharj Gov. Prince Abdul Rahman bin Nasser, and Prince Turki bin Saud, vice president of KACST for research institutes.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Haraqan, executive director of Badir, said the incubator is established at the university’s faculty of pharmacology after conducting necessary feasibility studies.
He said KACST would support every effort to promote science and technology in the Kingdom as part of efforts to diversify revenue resources, strengthen the national economy and create more jobs for Saudis.
Al-Haraqan spoke about Badir’s efforts to set out plans and strategies to improve the performance of incubators in order to accelerate the Kingdom’s economic progress.
“We also support business incubators by exchanging expertise and experiments,” he added.
He said Badir would also support incubator projects to ensure their continuous success by developing the skills of workers and their capabilities. The opening ceremony at Salman University was attended by its president Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Asimi and other senior officials.
