According to the official sources of the ministry, Fakeih will particularly talk about the two projects of Taqat (energies) and Liqaat (meetings), which the ministry has initiated within its efforts to fight unemployment among young Saudi men and women.
The sources said the meeting was within the minister's pattern of consulting with businessmen and government departments on all issues concerning the ministry in a simple and transparent manner.
They said a number of businessmen, intellectuals, media representatives, dignitaries of Jeddah and members of the board of directors of the JCCI will attend the meeting, which will take place at the "Seat of the Merchants" in the chamber.
Chairman of the chamber Saleh Kamel said ideas would be exchanged during the meeting on means of further boosting the country's economy, particularly the two projects of Taqat and Liqaat, which were considered an outcome of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to provide more working opportunities for the Saudi youth.
"The Seat of the Merchants is not only a forum for presenting the needs and requirements of the merchants but also to follow up the implementation of the ideas that have been mooted with the government departments concerned," he said.
He recalled the seat was launched by Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal in a recent ceremony, which was attended by a large number of businessmen, economists and government officials.
Kamel said the seat usually invites renowned economists, businessmen and decision makers to talk about various economic and trade issues of concern to the Kingdom in general and to Makkah province in particular.
He described the seat as a meeting place for merchants and said it was closely following up the economic and investment topics of concern to Jeddah. "The board of directors established the seat to communicate with businessmen and government departments as well as members of the diplomatic and consular corps," he said.
The seat has more than 85 members consisting of present and former members of the board of directors, economists and businessmen. The idea dates back to old history, when merchants of the city of Jeddah used to get together to resolve their problems and consolidate ties among them.
