Jubail team qualifies for robotics contest in US

This comes as part of the 2nd Gulf youth leadership forum organized by Al-Riyadh Schools. Defense Minister Prince Salman is the honorary president of Al-Riyadh Schools.
With this result, the team has qualified to participate within the Saudi team in the international competition, which will be held in the city of Anaheim, California, US during April 18-22. More than 35 countries will be participating.
This competition aims to give students learning skills of technology, mathematics, science, software, engineering science associated with the design and construction of robot.
The Educational Services Department of the Royal Commission in collaboration with the Social Services Department has started early to prepare for this participation by appending trainers and students with specialized courses in this area.
Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, expressed his happiness for this achievement and said this is a result of Royal Commission's persistent support and encouragement to scientific activities that led to develop creativity and exchange of positive ideas among children.
