Althaqafy said the teaching community had a very important role in society, as our young children were the future citizens of the country. "I compliment the teachers for playing a vital role in shaping the young minds and preparing them to be responsible members of the society for a promising future," he added.
He emphasized the Ministry of Education's interest in and emphasis on teachers and their welfare, as well as the recognition they deserve. He also had a word of praise for the SGH group for its initiative in recognizing the contribution of teachers.
Altaqafy and Batterjee honored 90 city teachers with awards.
