Al Issa said on his appointment that he considers it as a great trust bestowed on him by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
“I ask God to help me in this task and great responsibility to continue improving the facilitation of justice, God willing, to achieve the desired targets on all levels, structural, processing, technical and humanitarian, and on the judiciary culture level through the King’s project to develop the justice system where the ministry has already gained some front rank international achievements.”
He added that one of his tasks is judiciary training and the serious work of preserving the executive mechanism of the judiciary system. Al Issa confirmed that this decree is the fourth of its kind in the Kingdom’s history after Sheikh Mohammad Al Harkan during late King Faisal’s rule, Sheikh Ebrahim Al-Alsheikh during late King Khaled’s rule and Sheikh Mohammad bin Ebrahim bin Jubair during late King Fahd’s rule.
Al Issa said that the High Judiciary Council is an administrative commission, and the judiciary authority is included in the Higher Court.
Al Issa, who has brought the judiciary institutions nearer to media in the last three years, is one of those who are responsible for keeping and developing the judiciary facility to coincide with the desires of the people in accelerating the judiciary provisions.
Al Issa promised a few years ago to permit women to become advocates but after some jurisprudential consulting that supported the right for women to work only in specific areas, the promises never materialized.
