To run for a month through May 5 the tournament has attracted 330 entries, with the Class C category cornering the largest field of players, according to Tournament Director Edwin Ignacio.
Prizes in cash and in kind totaling SR60,000 will be at stake in the netfest that opens hostilities with singles matches in the age group 16 under and 12 under at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
Men’s action gets under way on the same day at 4 p.m.
In addition to the singles there will be doubles titles to be contested in Open, Class B and Class C categories. Also featured is the singles championship for over 45.
Banque Saudi Fransi is the major sponsor of the tournament. The co-sponsors are Power Horse, Deltaz Marketing, SGB, Gautier, Al Mutlaq Furniture and Air France.
InterCon Recreation Manager Mounir Melliti chairs the Organizing Committee in charge of the tournament. Marvin Espina is general referee and Lito Punay committee member.
