Malik Ghazi bin Taleb, chairman of the private and international school committee at Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said his committee conducted educational competitions for the children.
The two-day competitions were attended by 230 skilled students, Bin Taleb said, adding that it tested artistic, literary, sports, cultural, scientific, technical, leadership and professional skills.
“The participants represented various educational levels,” he said. Nine committees, each comprising 25 experts, were formed to interview students.
Bin Taleb said the forum was aimed at highlighting the skills and capabilities of talented children and establishing domains to develop their capabilities.
A team of juries picked the winners. The participants should be aged below 17 and be Saudi.
Bin Taleb said the first forum would encourage organizers to hold it annually in order to unearth the skills and talents of students.
