The new restaurant features a huge family section, an equally big section for singles, a range of cuisine predominantly of Pakistani and Indian origin, and above all a large parking facility right in front, on the posh Al-Hamdan Street of Sulaimania district of the capital city.
“Wooden spongy furniture and metal accents decorate this world-class restaurant, the first of its kind in Riyadh,” Said Mohamed Perothayil, senior business consultant associated with Khan's Bar B Cue, said.
“The walls of the restaurant are lined with very sober decorative patterns, giving a soothing ambience,” continued Perothayil, who is also the executive manager of the restaurant. This upscale dining facility can accommodate up to 125 people at a time.
The premier location of the restaurant is likely to be a hotspot for top executives, who can assemble for small meetings of leisure, said the executive manager. The opening ceremony of the restaurant was attended by a large number of Saudi, Pakistani and Indian businessmen, professionals and executives. Perothayil said the 400-square meter restaurant would serve soups, curries, stir-fried dishes and desserts besides a range of dishes that will be different from other upscale dining outlets.
The restaurant is owned by Othman Aba Hussain and Ishak Mallik, both Saudi nationals, while it is being promoted by a number of Pakistani and Indian community leaders and professionals.
Catering Services Corporation (CSC), a company specialized in catering and restaurant business, manages the restaurant. CSC has been successfully managing and operating restaurants and catering entities including another premier Asian outlet known as “Indian Kitchen” in Riyadh Avenue Mall.
The new restaurant is specialized in barbecue with a theme that reads, “Fresh, spicy and live barbecue.” Other dishes are grilled prawns, chicken green tikka, Behari kabab, mixed grilled platter, fish karahi, and sizzling and Lahori fried fish besides a number of other dishes.
Referring to the interior design and decoration of the new restaurant, Jameel, the restaurant designer, said, “The space at the restaurant marries beautifully with the menu. Both are unique, so [they] add up to a unique dining experience.”
The designer said the low-slung tables and cushion top sofa-like chairs that punctuate a stylish, light dark interior are other fascinations. “Each and every aspect of the restaurant, right from napkins to the kitchen wares, has been carefully reviewed, selected and designed with an aim to maximize the dining pleasure for one and all,” he said.
