Distributor of Samsung mobiles in KSA wins top awards

Samsung was awarded two prestigious awards for the year by hosts GSMA of Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona as, ‘Device Manufacturer of the Year’ for its initiatives dedicated toward protecting the interests of mobile operators worldwide.
Samsung was also awarded ‘Best Smartphone’ for its Galaxy S II, for the device being a powerful offering from Samsung and for an overwhelming response to it from its consumers.
During the Congress, FMP and Samsung met at strategic levels, FMP represented by Mohammed Ali Matbouli (CEO) and Shehab Rashad (commercial director), with Sunghak Jang Samsung vice president/Middle east and Africa, to discuss the business road map for the second quarter and address and arrive at solutions for market challenges, in addition to finalizing sales & marketing strategies.
Samsung particularly was appreciative of the growth of FMP and its valuable position in the Saudi market, in addition to the remarkable success of Golden Warranty program.
Another significant outcome of the MWC was that of the strategic meeting with STC and Google.
FMP senior officials teamed with top Samsung KSA officials and met with the management of STC and Google to finalize the launch plans of Galaxy Nexus (Google phone) with STC.
FMP Samsung has provided the rights of Galaxy Nexus exclusively to STC for the Saudi market.
This model is planned for launch in third week of March.
