Tabuk can be tourist center: Prince Sultan

Speaking to reporters after inspecting a number of natural and heritage sites in the region, the prince said Tabuk required a lot of investment to develop its tourism facilities and attractions.
“We are waiting for a number of decisions by higher authorities to get support for tourism investment,” the SCTA chief said, adding that the new decisions would encourage huge investments in the sector.
He said there is a possibility to establish an integrated tourist city in Tabuk, creating more job opportunities for people in the region, especially in hotels, furnished apartments, handicrafts and tourism services.
A number of projects have been implemented in Tabuk to enhance its infrastructure facilities. Prince Sultan, accompanied by senior SCTA officials visited a number of tourist sites in Tabuk including Zeeta, Jabal Al-Louz, Maghayer Shaab, Bier Saadani and Tayeb Ism.
Prince Sultan expressed his hope that Saudis would give priority to spend their annual vacation in the Kingdom, instead of going abroad.
