Border Guards to mark centennial anniversary

“An international conference will be held on the occasion in which many working papers will be discussed,” said Brig. Abdul Aziz bin Saad Al-Asmari.
He said 160 working papers were submitted to the scientific committee of the conference.
Al-Asmari revealed 103 papers were accepted for delivery and circulation after they were thoroughly scrutinized by members of the committee. He said 36 working papers and pieces of research will be presented at the conference while 18 others focusing on the experiences of other countries will be presented at special workshops to be held for Border Guards personnel.
Al-Asmari said all working papers will be placed on the website of the Border Guards and distributed at the conference.
He said contributions have come from a number of countries including the US, Germany, Italy, Australia, Sweden, Libya, Algeria, Palestine, Jordan, Bangladesh and the Kingdom.
A special website was established to mark the celebrations and receive contributions, publish news and communicate with visitors. The directorate general also established pages on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
The directorate general announced it has 10 vacancies for Saudi women to work as inspectors and prison wardens. Applicants should be Saudi nationals, not married to foreigners and with secondary school degrees. They should be under 30 and at least 155 cm in height.
