Three days after the race, her online total hit $1 million yesterday. And it just keeps increasing.
The 30-year-old Englishwoman collapsed near the end of the 26.2-mile course near Buckingham Palace and died. The outpouring of generosity has come from about 60,000 people.
In a statement, her family said: “Don’t stop giving, just like her.”
The donations will go to the Samaritans, which works to prevent suicide. The organization usually raises around $6 million annually from individual donations.
