RIYADH: Al-Andalus Holding Company (AHC) recently opened its first Saudi branch in Riyadh to exhibit 3M products in response to the growing demand for them.
Marwan Al-Barahim, managing director of Al-Andalus Holding Co. expressed his delight with the launch of the branch made in cooperation with 3M Co. in the Old Industrial City, Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz Street, Riyadh downtown.
He considered the move as the beginning of a process that would lead to the opening of new branches in other regions and cities of the Kingdom to keep pace with the growing demand for the 3M products.
“The new showroom houses a wide range of of 3M products under one roof in order for visitors to keep abreast of the latest technologies of ‘pasting’ and a host of diverse and unique technologies used in buildings, houses and towers,” Al-Barahim added.
He added: “It will also offer free consultation from the customer service employees about industrial solutions offering the latest technologies of ‘isolation.’
The building and construction sector in the Kingdom is experiencing a sustained growth to keep pace with the demographic growth, particularly after the issuance of several rules and regulations governing investment and new properties.”
Al-Barahim said: “The demand in the building and construction sector in the Kingdom has rocketed to more than SR 65 billion over the past few years.”
Al-Barahim anticipated an accelerated growth tempo of the Saudi economy in the foreseeable future, citing that it is currently one of the most investment-attractive economies in the world.
He attributed this situation to security and a number of other factors, including the political and economic stability enjoyed by the Kingdom, paving the way for a third economic boom.
“The rising government investments spanning all fields are fitting well with the government plan to minimize its reliance on petrol and petrochemicals, and expand in various other fields. These elements constitute an economic structure coherent with the strategic plans of Al-Andalus Holding Co. in the short and long runs,” he added.
AHC, which was established in 1970 as a pioneering company in the field of aluminum and accessories, glassware, and building materials, has three factories for manufacturing and installing aluminum, in addition to two factories for the treatment of glass.
It also has Al-Andalus Aluminum Factory in Dammam, Al-Talee’aa Co., Decoral for Aluminum Painting, in addition to Al-Andalus Trading Company, representing a number of international agencies such as KBB, PHIFER, ATCOO, GEZE, 3M and FAPIM.
Al-Andalus Group has contributed to the construction of several mega projects in the area.
