The Philippine Embassy has urged mothers with undocumented children to take advantage of the opportunity given by authorities to process their information.
Filipino women with undocumented children have been in the Kingdom for several years because they cannot get an exit visa.
While they could be issued travel documents, they do not have birth certificates of the children, a prerequisite for the issuance of final exit visas.
This arrangement, however, is not permanent according to an advisory issued by the embassy. The arrangement for DNA testing will not be available after July 14, 2013.
The processing, which is to be followed by DNA testing, is only an initial step prior to processing at the Jawazat and fingerprinting and issuance of final exit by the Passport Department.
“Once again, Filipino females who have undocumented children and have earlier registered with the Embassy should proceed to the field office in Um Al-Hammam and avail themselves of the additional few days extension provided by Saudi authorities,” the advisory said.
Mothers in the Eastern Province should arrange with the Embassy for processing and DNA testing in Riyadh. For further information, they should call Ebrahim Zailon on 0559250419.
Aside from advisories, the embassy has also been contacting mothers due in for processing, yet the number of those appearing daily is on the decrease. So far, the embassy has processed 450 applicants.
Many of these mothers with undocumented children believe that if they have a new sponsor, the latter could facilitate theirs and their children’s regularization.
