ADM, OSN announce collaboration for airing subscription-based channels

As part of a collaboration between Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) — one of the fastest growing, multi-platform media and entertainment organisations in the Middle East — and OSN, the region’s major pay-TV network, ADM’s subscription-based channels will be available exclusively on OSN from Sept. 1.
ADM will migrate its High-Definition (HD) subscription-based sports channels to OSN, followed by the new Abu Dhabi Drama+, an HD channel that will feature the best in regional Arabic production months before it airs on the free-to-view Abu Dhabi Drama.
“We are looking forward to partnering with OSN, a leading pay-TV broadcaster that covers the MENA region,” said Mohamed Ebraheem Al Mahmood, chairman and MD of Abu Dhabi Media, said. “This strategic collaboration will enhance our position as one of the largest, multi-platform media and entertainment organizations in the UAE and the Middle East and will contribute to ADM’s innovative portfolio and add to its success.”
David Butorac, CEO of OSN, said: “The addition of Abu Dhabi Media’s pay channels, leaders in the region’s media and entertainment sector, will significantly enhance the value and choice we offer to our subscribers. It is a strong testament to our commitment to work with leading content creators from across the world and the region.”
“We understand the passion that our subscribers have for sports content, and we are excited to be able to offer the strength of ADM’s sports channels to our subscribers and provide even more premium Arabic entertainment choice. The ADM channels are differentiated by their emphasis on exclusive content delivery, and are a perfect fit to our strategic growth vision for the region.”
The collaboration further strengthens and expands the sports and entertainment offering on OSN, with the four paid Abu Dhabi sports channels offering a range of premium content.
