South Indian actors Kamal Haasan and Mammootty were honored by K.T. Rabiullah, chairman and managing director of Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group, during a grand ceremony in Abu Dhabi recently considering their remarkable contributions to the film industry.
Rabiullah presented Shifa Al Jazeera Excellence Awards to Haasan and Mammootty, both superstars. He also honored John Britas, MD of Kairali Channel, said T.P. Ahamed, CEO of Shifa Al Jazeera in Oman.
Nikesh Kumar, CEO of Reporter Channel; M.C.A. Nasser of Media One Channel; Ajay Ghosh and Deepu Somashekharan of Asianet News, C.P Saithalavi of Chandrika daily, C.K Hassan Koya of Malayalam News and P.P Junoob of Gulf Madhyamam will be honored during a function in Jeddah on March 20, for their excellent media contribtion, he added.
Other award winners are Dr. Ameer for medical service in Kuwait, Siddiqe Valiyakath for humanitarian work in Kuwait, Basheer Ambalayi for humanitarian work in Bahrain and Thennala Moideen Kutty for humanitarian services in Saudi Arabia, Ahamed added.
Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group, a major health care conglomerate in the GCC led by Rabiullah, employs several thousands of people. The group is operating in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait, and has become one of the most successful in the field of health care in the region.
