Global Capital Management Ltd., the alternative asset management arm of Global Investment House (Global), have announced that Yargıcı Konfeksiyon Ihracat ve Ticaret AS (Yargıcı) — a major up-market for women’s clothing, accessories and home decoration collections in Turkey — aims to expand in the GCC markets, namely Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Yargici has been implementing the first phase of its expansion strategy in the Turkish market since Global Buyout Fund acquired 75 percent stake of the company in 2011. Since then, Global has worked with Yargici, opened 30 new stores to reach a total of 51 in 10 cities, increased its retail space by 335 percent to reach 9,184 sqm and ended 2014 with a 26 percent growth in turnover.
Aside from its retail space expansion strategy, Yargici has invested in its online shop to create a platform that enables the brand to reach beyond its physical locations.
Focusing on becoming a global lifestyle brand, Yargıcı opened its first home decoration store under the name, Yargıcı Homeworks, in Istanbul in May 2015. Homeworks collection brings furniture, special accessories like hand-made ceramics, wicker baskets, home textile, lighting and decorative objects together from various destinations in the world.
Yargici is focusing on Saudi Arabia and Kuwait as the first upcoming countries in Yargıcı’s international expansion. Sulaiman M. Al-Rubaie, MD at Global Capital Management commented: “With its unique fashion line, strong and trusted brand, value proposition and premium store locations across Turkey, Yargıcı is well positioned to expand beyond Turkey to international markets and mainly the GCC.”

Yargıcı has been one of the major retail names in the Turkish market for 37 years offering women clothing, accessories and home decoration collections.

The brand still continues its operations in Japan, Greece, Switzerland, and the Philippines, Russia, Australia and the Middle Eastern markets through its wholesale channels.
