LAHORE: Imran Khan, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), addressed a political gathering in Lahore as part of the party’s recently launched anti-corruption drive across the country, Dawn reported.
The PTI chief thanked the people present there for “braving the heat and showing up at the gathering on his call and with a cause.”
Imran spoke for the rights of laborers and urged the need for provision of better living and health facilities for them.
The PTI’s anti-corruption drive is geared toward garnering public and political support.
The party is attempting to garner support from opposition parties for its plans for a “Raiwind March” protesting Premier Nawaz Sharif family’s ownership of offshore companies revealed by the Panama Papers.
