Dirab Management Staff wins match play event vs. Early Birds Golfers

RIYADH: Notwithstanding the oppressive heat in the holy month of Ramadan, a match play event took place on Tuesday between the so-called Early Birds Golfers and Dirab Management Staff at Dirab Golf & Country Club.
Early Birds composed of Pakistani golfers was captained by Tariq Javed and Dirab Management Staff by Bouchaib El Jadiani.
Winning the two ball best ball with 3/ 4 handicap format, 2-up, was Dirab team. The match over 9 holes started at 4:30 p.m. and followed by iftar at the clubhouse.
With 22- handicap Tariq Javed on the Early Birds Golfers team and their handicaps are: Zafar Ullah Khan, 27; Khalid Raja, 18; Moez Ahmed, 21, Irfan Hanif, 25, Ahmed Raja, 22, and Imad, 28.
Bouchaib’s team included Shawkatt Raghib with 0 handicap, Salem Ayari, 0; Imran Qadir, 16, Shahid Rabbani, 12, and Habib Ullah, 20.
A commemorative trophy for the event was awarded to Dirab Management Staff.
Off-season events by various golfing communities in Riyadh keep the Dirab course busy.
