NEW YORK: The UN has acknowledged the Kingdom’s financial help to the international body to fight global terrorism, which came at a time when no other donation came through. Ban Ki-moon, secretary-general of the UN, said: “Except for the generous donation from Saudi Arabia, the United Nations does have any new resources.
At a time when demand has multiplied, no amount of security coordination would have any effect without the support of adequate resources.” The UN General Assembly held a meeting to review the UN’s international strategy to fight terrorism.
