• Renault-Nissan Alliance generated 4.3 billion euros in synergies in 2015, one year ahead of schedule and an increase of 13 percent from 2014.
Purchasing, engineering and manufacturing were the main contributors.
Renault and Nissan generate “synergies” by working together to reduce costs, avoid spending and increase revenue.
Only new synergies — not cumulative — are taken into account each year. Synergies help Renault and Nissan meet their financial goals and deliver higher-value vehicles to customers.
Renault and Nissan, which together sell one in 10 cars globally, converged four key functions in 2014: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Human Resources.
While Renault and Nissan remain separate companies, each function is led by a common alliance executive vice president.
The synergy concept is thought to be created by Carols Ghosn, CEO of the alliance.
• Middle East Corvette enthusiasts will have the chance to own a piece of Corvette history with the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition — a road-going, track-capable homage to the Corvette Racing C7.R race cars. Only 650 have been built for global sale, with 23 being sold in the Middle East. All C7.R Editions will come with the Z07 Performance Package with carbon ceramic brakes, and a specially serialized vehicle identification number. The C7.R Edition pays tribute to the Corvette Racing C7.R race cars. It’s offered in Corvette Racing’s signature yellow — or black — with coordinated exterior and interior accents. Corvette Racing’s legacy and technology were significant influences on the development of the Corvette Z06 and the new C7.R Edition honors the link between the race car and the production model.

• The Bentayga has driven more than 400 laps of the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit, as part of developing the dynamic performance of the chassis and fine-tuning the relevant control and stability systems.
The unique features of the Nordschleife circuit, including the high level of topographical change, the variety of surface grip levels and wide range of cornering speeds, made it the perfect place to develop the fastest, most powerful SUV in the world.
Bentley’s iconic W12 engine was revised from the ground up, specifically for the Bentayga.
The revisions made by Bentley’s engineering specialists in Crewe, England have redefined what a SUV can do.
It can operate perfectly in all off-road conditions, at lateral and longitudinal angles of up to 35°.
