Politics of convenience

This refers to the report, “Without two-state solution, Middle East faces perpetual violence,” (July 13) in which UN has expressed concerns about the situation in Palestine, and has put question mark on the two-state solution to resolve the conflict.
There is no doubt the situation has reached a point of no return.
The world leaders have made a mess of the political situation in Palestine as also in several other countries. It should come as no surprise if Palestine keeps bleeding. Because the leaders, particularly those belonging to world powers, have repeatedly failed, or intentionally ignored, to resolve problems of global impact for decades.
Kashmir is perpetually in violence with no country in the world giving a damn to the innocent people, who by default found themselves caught in the unnecessary war between separatists and the government. The world powers have no guts either to teach a lesson to an insignificant country like North Korea. Tension is brewing in South China Sea for quite some time.
This is beside the crisis in the Middle East which is entirely the making of these very world powers led by the US. Russia has supported dictator Bashar Assad massacring his own people and now when US failed to come up with any alternative is learned to have approached Moscow to support its anti-people mission. This is all about politics of convenience and this is wholly absurd and unacceptable.
