RIYADH: Riyadh’s Special Criminal Court convicted a national of belonging to Daesh, calling the Saudi leaders apostates and threatening police detectives.
He was also convicted of traveling to fight abroad and financing terrorism. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The prosecution presented proof in court that showed that he was a full member of the terrorist organization and that he traveled to Kuwait to receive financing to go to war zones. He tried to get his passport back from security authorities to continue traveling and indulging in terrorism, and he was also convicted of contributing to aiding others in their travels outside the Kingdom, to fight under the banner of the terror organization. He helped two of these terrorist supporters get to the Jeddah airport and then harbored them.
He used Twitter to spread his ideology.
